F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse wants to know your vision for our public lake and gather your ideas. This is OUR LAKE that is unique with most of its shoreline held in public trust, so your voice should be heard on how you want Onondaga Lake water to be used. Click here to take the online survey.
Natural Resource Damage Assessment - ongoing
The Onondaga Nation, Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation are conducting a natural resource damage assessment at Onondaga Lake. They are in the process of identifying potential projects to restore, replace or compensate for injuries to and lost use of natural resources caused by hazardous substances released in and around Onondaga Lake. The public is invited to submit suggestions for restoration projects.
